NNOMY Wants Facebook Volunteers

Be a Facebook Peace Activist for NNOMYVolunteer to help NNOMY build our friends network on Facebook.

Send messages to your Facebook Friends about:

  • How the military promotes war with youth in our schools
  • How women in the military are frequently sexually assaulted
  • How soldiers have the highest rate of suicide and why
  • How there are alternatives to gain skills and to become a leader without harming others

If you can give a minimum of one hour a week, please contact The National Network Opposing the Militarization of Youth (NNOMY) by filling out the Form on the right side of this page, or message us on our Facebook Page and let us know about your interest to help. If you would like to apply your volunteer work to school credit, talk with your teacher first and give her the address of the NNOMY web page at www.nnomy.org to make sure they will agree to this activity for you and how it fits into your study plan.  If you would like to volunteer as a group, this is also acceptable. Let's talk soon.

Together we can make a better world possible. Contact NNOMY Now.

What Every Young Woman Should Know About the Military

A Brochure for Young Women Thinking About Joining the Military | 2022

"When I joined, I knew that women in the military faced an uphill battle, but I didn't fully understand how serious the issues were and how reluctant leadership is to doing anything about it.

The truth is that there's a culture of harassment and assault that is incredibly harmful to all troops, but especially to gender minorities."
